'Cocoon is a project started in 2022 by Claudia Lewis and Rachel McCrossin that is intended to celebrate the creative community in Naarm. Cocoon focuses on combining art, music, food and beverages to a particular theme, creating a multidisciplinary experience space that feels safe, inclusive, and all-encompassing.
The launch event in June was themed “changing seasons”, focusing on the shifts of transitioning to the cooler months. The second event in November focused on the transition to Spring, celebrating everything that begins to bloom. These events are part of Cocoon's seasonal series that seek to hone in on what different times of the year can bring.
Cocoon in the future hopes to expand to being able to curate events for different creative fields/artists such as music launches, art shows, clothing pop-ups, etc. '
